Hochar Pere et Fils, Ch Musar
Description
Cinsault-based, plus Cabernet, Carignan and Grenache. This single vineyard red wine from the village of Aana in the Bekaa Valley is produced from very low yielding (25 to 30 hectolitres per hectare) old vines resulting in a richly concentrated, intense red wine. A fine wine of great structure and ageing potential. This vineyard area is specifically chosen because of its character the vines here are from deeper soils over limestone and the age of the vines, on average between 35 and 50 years old. "I am addicted to cinsault - it gives the silkiness and femininity to my wine, cabernet, the backbone and carignan the shape and muscles." Serge Hochar.

Producer Details
In 1930, at just 20 years old, Gaston Hochar founded Chateau Musar, inspired by Lebanon’s 6,000-year winemaking tradition and his travels in Bordeaux. His son Serge established the winery as one of the most iconic producers in the world and put Lebannon back on the wine map.
